Granola Bars!

Making your own granola bars is really great. First off you know what is in them, you know you are eating healthy, and you will have more energy! Naturally!!!




What you need

  • 2 C Honey
  • 1/4 C Molasses
  • 1 TSP Vanilla Extract
  • 1 1/2 C Almonds
  • 1 C Pecans
  • 1/4 C Walnuts
  • 1 C Sunflower Seeds
  • 1 C Steel Cut Oats
  • 1 C Oats
  • 1 package of instant oatmeal (your choice on flavor)
  • Food Processor
  • Cookie Sheet
  • Parchment Paper
  • Pan
  • 2 Wooden Spoons
  • Large Bowl
This is what ya do
  1. Pour the Honey and Molasses into the pan
  2. Turn stove on med-high heat
  3. While the honey and molasses are mixing and heating, pull out your large bowl
  4. Measure out the nuts
  5. Use the food processor to chop the pecans, walnuts, and almond to your liking
  6. Put all dry ingredients into one big bowl.
  7. Add whatever spice you generally like
  8. Make sure you are mixing the honey and molasses.
  9. Once boiling, add vanilla
  10. Stir
  11. While Still hot put liquid into the large bowl of dry ingredients
  12. Now is the time to stir stir stir with your wooden spoon.
  13. Once mixed well, look and see if you need a little more honey.
  14. Take mixture and put it onto the parchment paper (parchment paper should be on the cookie sheet)
  15. Press down the mixture with wooden spoon until it is all pressed down.
  16. Then stick it in the fridge for about 45 minutes
  17. Cut and eat!
